In 1976 when the Federal Government was dismissed and covertly out-manoeuvred by the Governor General, the PM Gough Whitlam could have sustained his position if intel via Video Conferencing was available to him as it is today. The mantra of anywhere/anytime on any device means instant communications and strategic information is available to all Businesses at all levels. The recent installation of a zoom centric facility coupled with some AV audio magic transforms the NSW Labour Party HQ to function in a rapidly changing Media World – and they love it!

Western Sydney International Dragway

Noisebox was invited to Tender on the Technology refresh of the Sydney Dragway Venue in mid-2020. The brief was a design construct request and extended to include – Public address, Big Screen Venue Displays , Inhouse Broadcast Cameras to capture, record and stream the Races, Corporate Hospitality, Guest and Venue Wi Fi Connectivity, system control and integration. The Design development required Noisebox to engage with the various user groups from Broadcast Contractors, Event Promotors, the actual Venue Management and users of the Technology. Consensus and consultation were the key elements for success and it is this avenue we have  pursued during the Tender and Construction phases. The Contract was awarded as a fixed sum amount with Noisebox agreeing to some “additional” elements of the Systems within the Tender offering.

Substantial progress has been made at site level with the completed installation of the Corporate boxes and the Public address systems as of December 2020. Faced with Global manufacturing delays  and limited stock availability Noisebox will complete the Installations & Commissioning by the middle of February 2020.

Australian Council of the Arts

The Australia Council of the Arts is the Australian Government’s arts funding and advisory body. Their focus is strongly on increasing the visibility of Australia’s vibrant arts and culture, and recognising the evolving way that Australians make and experience art. Investing in artistic excellence through support for all facets of the creative process, and are committed to the arts being accessible to all Australians.

Organisations that are aligned to a Creative Industry tend to have a greater expectation about the technologies they interact with. This maybe because their work flows are more complicated or the devices they utilised do not always following normal standards.

The relocation Project from Surry Hills to Pyrmont Sydney allowed a blank canvas approach to introduce the Business to the latest of best practice technologies. Two rooms in particular required a design response to cater for the Client’s use case. Both rooms needed to cater for upwards of 30 participants in Presentations and Unified Communications events using Teams. Secondary viewing screens on motorised supports coupled with several Beam Forming Microphones for audio capture allowed an “All” audience participation for these Events.

Other areas within the Tenancy included intimate Meeting Rooms and Town Hall events featuring Presentations and Public Address.

How unified Communications assists a 19th Century Project

The Australian National Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour Sydney is Australia’s Premier Centre for Maritime Collections exhibitions, research and archaeology. Contributions are made by more than 1500 Maritime experts and salty enthusiasts, many who live outside Sydney and Australia. Utilising 21st century communication tools like Teams and Zoom allow collaboration by remote Partners on Restoration Projects. This allows an acceleration of the timelines to be able to present these historical treasures to the public which contributes to the appeal and commercial success of the Museum.
